Why do fitness professionals need regular health checks?

Fitness professionals push their bodies to the limit, which can increase the risk of overtraining, nutrient deficiencies, and hormonal imbalances. Early detection of problems means faster recovery and better overall wellbeing.

Bodyline Clinic offers medical weight management programs tailored for active lifestyles. These include prescription weight loss medications, nutritional guidance, and personalized plans to help trainers maintain a healthy weight without compromising energy or muscle mass. Our clinician-led approach ensures safe, sustainable results that complement your fitness goals.

Your prescribing nurse will discuss and advise the most appropriate treatment options for your personal circumstances.

Follow up appointments

Following your initial consultation Bodyline will offer you consultations based on the programme you have chosen; these can be in clinic or done remotely. A very easy one to answer - yes! All our clinics are CQC registered. All our clinics hold Home Office licences. All medications used in the Bodyline weight loss clinics hold appropriate licences. All members of our medical team are registered with the appropriate regulated bodies such as the NMC and the GMC.

Prescription Weight Loss Medication Vs. Over The Counter & Internet Solutions?

Prescription weight loss medications can only be purchased in a CQC registered clinic, such as Bodyline. Over the counter solutions are mainly herbal, very low dosage and unsupported. In general, they do not have the same results in overall weight loss. Buying medication online does not always guarantee that the products are genuine or safe for you to take. We would strongly advise that you only purchase prescription medication from CQC registered or licensed clinics which are very strictly regulated.

Will My Prescribing Nurse Give Me Regular Check-Ups?

Following your initial consultation Bodyline will offer you consultations based on the programme you have chosen; these can be in clinic or done remotely. These regular appointments ensure your weight loss programme is fully supported and you achieve your goals. Bodyline pride themselves on a fully supported weight loss programme.

Our weight loss pills work by suppressing the appetite centre of your brain, making you less hungry and therefore eat less. Weight loss pills do not eradicate your appetite completely, they are designed to reduce it and improve your dietary habits.

What is the difference between Standard HRT and BHRT?

Hormone Replacement Therapy, or HRT, is a treatment that involves taking hormones to replace the ones your body is no longer producing. This can be done through pills, patches, creams, gels, implants, or injections.

Standard HRT offers a simple, standardised response to symptoms of menopause, with prescriptions consisting of typical, standard dose levels, of estrogen and progesterone.

Alternatively, the BHRT prescription on our M Plan is personalised to each individual client based on blood analysis and screening along with a client's personal menopause symptoms. Our choice of bespoke HRT treatments includes Oestrogen, Progesterone, Testosterone, and DHEA - some of which are not available on the NHS.

Can you switch from HRT to BHRT?

Yes, usually it is a very quick and easy transition from standard HRT to bioidentical and bespoke HRT treatments.

How long do I need to take HRT/BHRT for?

It can vary from person to person as to how long their symptoms may last, and what their medical history and blood profiling suggest. It is advisable to take HRT up to 5 years, however BHRT is safe to be taken across a lifetime.

What are the side effects from HRT and BHRT?

BHRT rarely produces side effects in users when prescribed optimally. Side effects may appear when dosages are not at their most efficient levels, which is why follow up appointments are crucial for a successful menopause journey on BHRT.

Standardised HRT's side effects are also rare, but treatments with estrogen and progesterone can cause spotting, irregular bleeding, headaches, and breast tenderness.

How much does Bodyline's HRT / BHRT cost?

What is Low Dose Naltrexone?

Naltrexone is a drug that has been used for many years to treat addiction to opioids and alcohol. At high doses, it blocks the effects of these substances in the brain. However, at low doses, it has been shown to have incredibly effective anti-inflammatory effects.

How does LDN work?

LDN binds to certain receptors in the body that are involved in regulating the immune system, such as the Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) and the opioid growth factor receptor (OGFr). By binding to these receptors, LDN can reduce inflammation and as a result, will boost the body’s endorphin and encephalin (hormones) levels. These hormones are important to relieve pain and irritation. LDN comes in the form of oral capsules.

Who can be treated with LDN?

If you suffer from any of the following conditions, disorders, or diagnoses, and your current treatment is not effective, we can offer an initial consultation about your LDN journey:

  • Crohn’s disease
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Chronic Pain
  • Psoriasis
  • Long covid
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Hashimoto's
  • Other Autoimmune disease

We can only advise LDN for conditions where it has been proven to work. If you are unsure, call us today to speak to one of our LDN specialists.

We cannot prescribe Low Dose Naltrexone for those who:

  • have had organ transplants and take immunosuppressive medications.
  • have known liver disease.
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding.

What are the side effects from LDN?

Side effects may come in the first few weeks of taking Low Dose Naltrexone but should subside as your body gets used to the medication and your prescription is titrated. Many people who use LDN do not report any side effects.

These side effects may include:

  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Vivid dreams
  • Headaches

Those who have certain thyroid conditions involving the immune system may require dose adjustments in thyroid medication.

Speak to Bodyline clinical team – LDN specialist Doctors or Nurses, if this is something you are concerned about.

Do I need referral from my GP?

You do not need a GP’s referral letter to be treated by Bodyline. You do need to have tried medical treatments for the condition which have not been effective.

How long does it take for LDN to work?

It takes 3 months for us to build up the level of LDN and titrate your prescription. After that, the effects of LDN will continue for as long as you stay on the medication.

What is low testosterone?

Having low testosterone is a recognised medical deficiency in one of the main sex hormones in males.
