Superfood Mocktails

At Bodyline, we always advise our clients not to drink alcohol in conjunction with their prescribed medication. If you needed a bit more motivation to ditch the alcohol, then why not try some of our superfood mocktails. Packed full of flavour, vitamins and antioxidants, they’re sure to leave you feeling refreshed and revitalised – without the hangover!

Iced Tea

Tea is loved for it’s calming effect and health benefits. Packed full of antioxidants, catechins and polyphenols, it is thought to prevent chronic diseases, cancer, bone weakness and so much more! There are lots of interesting flavours to choose from, so pick your favourite and let it brew for at least 12 hours so that the flavours really get a chance to develop. Choose herbs, fruit or other ingredients that will enhance the flavour to add into your mocktail – mint leaves in a peppermint tea or some frozen berries in the fruity options, add some ice and it’s ready to go.

Sangria

Not only is it delicious and refreshing, but if you close your eyes you’ll be in a sunny spot in Spain. Use a mixture of iced black tea, orange and pomegranate juice as the base of your Sangria. You can add a selection of orange and apple slices into the bottom of your pitcher, as well as some thinly sliced lemon and lime for that extra citrus kick. To water it down, simply stir in some sparkling water and serve up with a dash of honey.

Avocado Margarita

This simple recipe is packed full of goodness and is easy to make! Add an avocado, lime juice, salt, honey and a dash of orange juice into a blender and give it a quick whizz until it’s smooth. Serve with some honey and salt round the rim of your glass and you’ll be sure to wow your guests.

Watermelon Mint Twist

Incredibly hydrating and full of flavour, watermelon is a great ingredient to use in a mocktail. It goes with a variety of other flavours and herbs so you can use it in all sorts of recipes that enhance the flavour. Using low calorie lemonade and fresh mint, you can easily create a gorgeously refreshing beverage that can be served with frozen cubes of watermelon added finesse! Once these have melted, you can eat them and benefit from all of the vitamins and electrolytes they contain.

You don’t have to add alcohol to your drinks just to enjoy them. Try these superfood mocktails and let us know which is your favourite in the comments below!
